Anne Hathaway Calls Crotch-Flash Incident A "Vulnerable Moment," Slams The Paparazzi

Anne Hathaway is one of the most poised and elegant celebrities we know. When she's wearing underwear.

Poor Anne had an unfortunate incident at the Les Miserables premiere this week, when she accidentally bared all while stepping out of her vehicle. It was a bad day to go commando, because the paparazzi caught Anne accidentally going full monty.

Inevitably, Anne was going to be asked about the snafu when she appeared on Today today. After Matt Lauer made a crude joke, Anne decided to take the paparazzi and the media to task for what she considers an invasion of privacy.

Matt's "We've seen a lot of you lately" joke at the segment's start was slightly tacky, but Anne came back at him with 99% class, 1% sass:

"It was obviously an unfortunate incident. It kind of made me sad on two accounts. One was that I was very sad that we live in an age when someone takes a picture of another person in a vulnerable moment and rather than delete it, and do the decent thing, sells it. And I’m sorry that we live in a culture that commodifies sexuality of unwilling participants, which takes us back to Les Mis, because that’s what my character is."

Even Matt had to agree that Anne was totally on point in her response.
